Némésis est une diabolic c'est-à-dire une humanoïde créée pour tuer toute personne menaçant la vie de la personne à qui elle est liée, Sidonia, fille d'un sénateur. Cette dernière est appelée à la cour lorsque le tyrannique empereur Domitrian apprend que son père, le sénateur, ne suit pas ses convictions et formente un complot. Némésis prend alors la place de la jeune fille et se rend à la cour où elle doit devenir une autre personne, elle doit cacher sa nature de tueuse et prend doucement conscience de son humanité.
Un roman plein de surprise ! Un début plein de douleur et de violence qui se poursuit par une douceur incroyable! A travers la découverte de son humanité, on explore une amitié et un amour plein de tendresse et de sincérité. Ces sentiments représentent un espoir tel pour la diabolic, pour son humanité, mais elle en a peur étant contraire à sa nature.
Le monde dans lequel on entre n'est que peu décrit. On comprend qu'il s'installe dans des stations spatiales ou sur des planètes mais il n'y a, selon mon souvenir, aucune description de ces lieux. Mais cela ne gêne pas. Honnêtement, l'histoire est tellement prenante que l'on ne fait pas attention au fait qu'on n'ait pas toutes ces indications.Ce qui importe c'est la guerre de religion, de pouvoir, la quête de vérité et la recherche d'identité et d'humanité de Némésis.
Ce roman fait réfléchir sur différents sujets : A quoi sommes-nous prêts pour aider/sauver les personnes qui nous sommes chers ? Quel sacrifice sommes-nous prêts à faire pour défendre nos idéaux ? Est-ce l'amour qui fait de nous des humains ou est-ce seulement une histoire de gènes ? Quelle est l'importance de la science aujourd'hui ?
La plume de l'auteure est tellement belle, envoûtante et bien travaillée qu'on s'attache aux personnages, on prend part à chacun des sentiments que Némésis ressent, on doute avec elle, on aime avec elle, on évolue avec elle. Cela a été un réel plaisir.
Pour finir avec le côté esthétique, la couverture est vraiment magnifique et elle est bien appropriée. Némésis se transforme tout au long du roman, au fur et à mesure de la recherche de son humanité.

The pen of the author is so beautiful, captivating, and well-worked that we grow attached to the characters, we take part in each of the feelings that Nemesis feels, we doubt with her, we love with her, we evolve with her. It had been a great pleasure.
Let's finish with the aesthetic side: the cover is really beautiful and it is very appropriate. Nemesis is being transformed throughout the novel, as the research for her humanity progresses.
